چکیده

Background: Regional anaesthesia techniques are now being preferred over General in patients with major medical problems and those at high risk for GA. Thoracic segmental spinal has recently gained popularity because of its safety efficacy procedures like laparoscopic cholecystectomy, breast surgeries etc. Methods: A comparative study involving 50 ASA grade I & II both genders age group 25-55 years, weighing between 50-85 kg posted lap. Cholecystectomy GGH, Kakinada a period 5 months. Patients were divided into Group B 25 each group. After taking informed written conscent, given Segmental Spinal Anaesthesia T10 level Inj.0.5% isobaric Levo-bupivacaine 1.75 ml (13.75 mg) Inj. Fentanyl 0.25 (25 mcg) GA fentanyl, propofol, sevoflurane, succinylcholine vecuronium. Results: conscious less hemodynamic variability, greater duration post operative analgesia, first rescue analgesia observed A. Whereas intubation response, more requirement intraoperative opioid, lesser time B. Conclusions: TSSA is safe alternative as it provides excellent analgesia. With TSSA, can be avoided patents comorbidities.

Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Under Spinal Anaesthesia vs. General Anaesthesia: A Prospective Randomised Study.

INTRODUCTION Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is conventionally performed under general anaesthesia (GA) in our institution. There are multiple studies which have found spinal anaesthesia as a safe alternative. We have conducted this study of LC, performed under spinal anesthesia to assess its safety and feasibility in comparison with GA. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty patients with symptomatic...

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy under spinal anaesthesia vs. general anaesthesia: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (LC) is conventionally performed under general anaesthesia (GA), but there are multiple studies which have found spinal anaesthesia (SA) as a safe alternative. This meta-analysis was performed after adding many recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to clarify this issue. METHODS Relevant articles published in English were identified by searching Pu...

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy under spinal-epidural anesthesia vs. general anaesthesia: a prospective randomised study

PURPOSE Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is usually performed under the general anesthesia (GA). Aim of the study is to investigate the availability, safety and side effects of combined spinal/epidural anesthesia (CSEA) and comparison it with GA for LC. METHODS Forty-nine patients who have a LC plan were included into the study. The patients were randomly divided into GA (n = 25) and CSEA (n...

Spinal anaesthesia for laparoscopic cholecystectomy: a feasibility and safety study.

BACKGROUND Regional anaesthetic techniques have benefited those patients undergoing laparoscopic surgeries that are deemed high risk to receive general anaesthesia (GA). But spinal anaesthesia (SA) has not been routinely employed as the sole technique for laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). OBJECTIVE This study was conducted to uncover feasibility and safety of SA for conducting LC. METHODS ...
